About Leah A. Rivera
Ms. Rivera is the Lead Clerk at City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, California. This facility and its many clinics specialize in cancer treatment and research, along with many other catastrophic diseases. It has been in existence since 1913 and began as a tuberculosis sanitarium, shifting focus to cancer treatment and research in 1946. It was designated as a comprehensive cancer center, which is the highest recognition bestowed by the National Cancer Institute. City of Hope is also a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, with research and treatment protocols that advance care throughout the nation. It is a pioneer in the fields of bone marrow transplantation and genetics. Ms. Rivera oversees the mail operations of the hospital and over 10 off-site facilities, including employees, patients, families and caregivers. She also trains and consults.
In her spare time Ms. Rivera enjoys fitness with coach status in the Team Beachbody community, do-it-yourself projects, painting, writing poetry and short fiction and hiking.
