Ring in the New Year with a Special New Year's Eve Prix-Fixe Menu at Ixcateco Grill

    CHICAGO, IL, December 16, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ — Ixcateco Grill (3402 W. Montrose, Chicago; 773-539-5887) is serving up an authentic Feliz Ano Nuevo celebration with new menu creations from Executive Chef/owner Anselmo Ramirez. The special dishes all reflect the authentic Mexican flavor Ixcateco is known and loved for but also contain new twists, much like the start of a new year. The three course Prix-Fixe dinner menu is $65 per person plus tax and tip.

Start your night with a choice of appetizers; Empanadas Vegetarians with stuffed vegetables, goat cheese and smoked molcajete salsa, or Ensalada de la Casa, a mixed green salad with cherry tomatoes, almonds, cincho queso, crispy corn tortilla strips and a bright lemon dressing.

For entrees, choose between Salmon en Mole de Calabaza, wood grilled salmon with pumpkin squash mole, saffron rice and sauteed vegetables; Pozole de Camarones, wood grilled shrimp, hominy stew, crab, cabbage, radishes and oregano; Puerco Estilo Agostadero, wood grilled pork, mole agostadero, chunky garlic mashed potato, dried fruit and sesame seeds; and Carne Asada, wood grilled skirt steak, tomatillo salsa, black beans, plantains, sour cream and cheese. A vegetarian option is also available upon request.

Save room for Ixcateco Grill’s succulent Tres Leches Cake. With a moist cake base, light whipped topping, chocolate shavings and a sprig of mint, the cake is the perfect palate cleanser between dinner and champagne.
